Born in Pepeekeo, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Flavian and Veneranda Sidiaren, co-founders of the Historic Kayumangi of Honomu, where her work experience began. She was also a retired waitress at Ken’s House of Pancakes, formerly employed at Hilo Drugs, Dick’s Coffee House, Jimmy’s Drive Inn and Sumida Restaurant and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
