Roger Edwin Baldwin, 88, of Hilo died Aug. 7 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired University of Hawaii at Hilo biology professor, member of Church of the Holy Apostles, Hilo Community Chorus, Big Island Recorder Society and was a square dancer and folk dancer. Leopoldo “Leo” “Poldo” Eugenio Aguinaldo Galapon, 92, of Keaau died Sept. 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he was a tailor and retired nursery worker who loved taking family photos. Visitation 5-6:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel.
