Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center’s free “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series continues Nov. 15 with speaker Janet Dellaria, who will present “All It Takes is a Nudge: Kindness as a Road to Peace.”
“The Aesop saying ‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted,’ is the basis of this talk-story presentation,” Dellaria says. “Together, we’ll explore several facets of kindness and a quantum physics explanation of how and why it works. Kindness is one of the roads to peace.”
During this presentation, learn why kindness is so powerful, plus hear and share stories of acts of kindness given and received.
Dellaria earned her doctorate in leadership studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in library science. Her professional career centered around libraries in the university and private systems. Dellaria spends her time between Hilo and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, art and photography.
Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series presentations are hosted from noon-1 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, 655 Kilauea Ave. in Hilo. They are free and open to the public.
