Thanksgiving Day fun run
The annual Turkey Trot 5K will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Coconut Island and is a fun run.
Cost for the fun run is $5 for Big Island Road Runners members and $10 for non-members.

The next registered shoot is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the County Trap and Skeet Range.
All shotguns, ammunition and eye and ear protection must be supplied by participants.

• Kevin Fung (60) was first last month in a B.A.D. Company compact sporting clay 100-target shoot.

• At the Big Island Trap Club’s October event, Jimmy Watt, Earl Higa, Pomai Thoene and Brayden Okubo shared top honors at 48 in singles in the 50-target competition.
Also in first were Branden Okubo (48, handicap), Brayden Okubo (44, doubles) and Gregg Hirata, Earl Higa and Jimmy Watt (46, sub-gauge).
Kainoa Correa infield camp
Kainoa Correa, a Waiakea graduate and Cleveland Indians minor league infield instructor, will hold a youth infield camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 at Waiakea High for grades 3-8.
Registration fee is $60, normally $99 on the mainland. The last two years, all 90 Big Island slots sold out.
