Hawaii County is seeking suggestions for lands to be conserved through its Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation program.
Properties can qualify if they offer opportunities for education, public access to beaches or mountains, and outdoor recreation.
Proposals are considered by the county’s Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Commission.
PONC funds are derived from an allocation of 2 percent of the county’s annual property tax revenues.
