Aquilino C. Corpuz, 88, of Keaau died Nov. 17 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Laoag City, the Philippines, he was a retired macadamia nut and coffee picker. Tsutomu “Tom” Omori, 93, of Papaikou died Nov. 20 at home. Born in Onomea, he was a retired cane truck driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and member of the Papaikou Hongwanji Mission Kyodan and ILWU. Private services held. John H. Robel Jr., 92, of Hawi died Dec. 8 at home. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he was a retired electrician, a former owner of Robel Electric and co-owner of Johnny’s and The Stockage, member of IBEW Local 265 and the Elks Lodge 80 in Lincoln, Neb.
