Ronald Elridge Bell, 70, of Hilo died Dec. 19 at Hawaii Health Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Normal, Ill., he was a retired social worker, Illinois State University running back drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1973 and former football coach for Ka‘u High School. Pamela Jean Botelho, 62, of Hilo died Nov. 14 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. Private services held. Survived by partner, James Aiu of Hilo; sons, Josh Francisco, Travis (Teana Hoopai) Francisco, Baba (Caroley) Botelho and Jordan Botelho of Palolo Valley, Oahu; daughter, Janaire (Bill) Kaleleiki of Palolo Valley; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a niece and an aunt. Gadioso “Teddy” Pulgados Sr., 89, of Pepeekeo died Nov. 30 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired maintenance technician for the former Waiakea Village Resort in Hilo, U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, founder of Teddy’s Angels Softball Club and member of Korean War Veterans Association Big Island Chapter 231 and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
