The Rotary Club of South Hilo announces a request for proposals from any nonprofit organization seeking project funding for 2019.
Funding is limited to organizations serving East Hawaii communities. The maximum request for funding shall not exceed $10,000. Actual amount awarded will be determined by profits received from the club’s primary fundraiser, Hilo Huli, which is slated for May 5, 2019.
Organizations can get a copy of the RFP from the Rotary Club of South Hilo’s website at www.rotarysouthhilo.org or by emailing Benson Medina, club president, at rcshnews@gmail.com.
In 2018, the club’s foundation distributed more than $42,000 to many East Hawaii nonprofits including the Children’s Justice Center, Hilo Medical Center, American Cancer Society, Hope Services, Kuikahi Mediation, Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island, the Salvation Army, Puna Relief, Surfers Healing Foundation and the ARC of Hilo.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is Jan. 19, 2019.
