Argosy University Hawaii announced Wednesday that it might close Friday.
Argosy, which has a branch in Hilo, informed state officials that students will be provided copies of their transcripts free of charge, but it is not known how long the institution will process those requests.
Students were recently notified that the school filed for receivership in federal court Jan. 18. Argosy’s accrediting agency subsequently placed the school on “show cause” status, and students were cautioned the school could abruptly close at any time.
