The Hilo Branch of AAUW, the American Association of University Women, invites women at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Hawaii Community College to apply for scholarships. Graduate students at UH-Hilo are also eligible to apply.
The Hilo Branch of AAUW has assisted women and girls in the community to achieve self-realization through education for more than 65 years. Each year, AAUW sponsors multiple fundraising events to raise money for scholarships for women in East Hawaii, as well as a variety of educational programs focused on empowering women and girls.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified applicants must meet the eligibility guidelines including attending or planning to attend UH-Hilo, having completed 60 credits (attaining junior status) at the beginning of the academic year for which the scholarship is sought and being a resident of Hawaii.
WHERE TO GET APPLICATIONS: The 2019 scholarship applications can be found at the AAUW-Hilo Branch website (https://hilo-hi.aauw.net/). Applications also are available at the Kilohana Learning Center at Mo‘okini Library on the UH-Hilo campus, as well as in the financial aid office.
WHERE TO MAIL: Completed applications should be mailed to AAUW, c/o Jane Panek, 21 Poni Moi Place, Hilo, HI 96720.
DEADLINE: Applications must be received by April 1.
