Chamber hosts panel discussion about medical cannabis

The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce is presenting “A Discussion on Medical Cannabis” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center’s Moanahoku Hall.

The moderated panel discussion will feature attorney Newton Chu from law firm Torkildson, Katz, Hetherington, Harris &Knorek; police Lt. Reed Mahuna from the Hawaii County Police Department; Michael Covington, COO of Steep Hill Lab Hawaii; Noah Phillips, chief compliance officer of Hawaiian Ethos dispensary; Dylan Shropshire, CEO of Big Island Grown dispensary; and Zain Vally, M.D.

Cost to attend is $25 per person ($20 for HICC members and employees), which includes pupus, iced tea, coffee and water.

Space is limited, and the deadline to register is Thursday, March 28.

Payment is accepted at the Hawaii Island Chamber’s office located at 321 Kinoole St. in Hilo.
