Too much to ask?
I hate to keep returning to the air tours over Leilani Estates subject, but this seems to be our only way of being heard.
Still they come — helicopters and one larger tour plane — every day, without fail, from about 8 a.m. hourly until dark! They circle, they hover and frequently make loud noises. A few days ago, I even briefly mistook one for an earthquake.
No one seems willing (or even wants) to stop them. Maybe, if they could just give us one day a week (maybe Sunday) without their various annoyances, it would be a start, but I suppose that will be too much to ask!

Needless risk
Regarding, “Big Isle not immune to growing number of vaccination exemptions” (Tribune-Herald, March 31): If our schools did a better job of educating the population, we would not be exposed to this risk.

Excellent care
I am age 94, a veteran of World War II, living in central Hilo for the past 14 years.
At 7 a.m. Friday, March 8, I entered Hilo Medical Center after a painful night.
After two surgeries, I was released the following Monday. The treatment I received could not have been better — including excellent meals.
Anyone who has heard otherwise might need to update their opinion. But it will always be true that “if you try to make everybody happy, someone won’t like it.”
