This historic photo shows that trestles were washed away from the Kolekole Bridge after the April 1, 1946, tsunami. Come enjoy free admission Saturday for Tsunami Preparedness Day at the Pacific Tsunami Museum in downtown Hilo. Questions will be answered by representatives from Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency and Hawaii Emergency Management Agency.
