Join Heather Rivera for the creative writing workshop “Healing Through Words” from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. April 27 at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.

Rivera will use imagery, visualization and prompts to help participants tap into their creative muse and discover the healing power of writing. Students also will have the opportunity to share their writing in a safe supportive environment, if they choose.

Amazon best-selling author Rivera found healing while writing her first novel and has shared the power of writing in workshops.

Rivera obtained her doctorate in parapsychic science in 2011, her doctorate in law in 2002 and is a certified clinical hypnotherapist, specializing in past-life regression. She also is a retired registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience.

Rivera is the author of nine books, contributing author in seven books and author of numerous articles. She serves as an editor for the International Journal of Regression Therapy and has been featured in print, radio and web television.
