Kelly Won Leong, 58, of Hilo died April 6 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born on Oahu, he was a project specialist for the University of Hawaii at Hilo Division of Student Affairs, was UH-Hilo’s first full-time sports information director for more than 25 years, an official with Hawaii Island Sports Officials Association, and coached the Waiakea Pirates Gummy Bears softball team and Hilo High School dive team.
