Get information to fight back against fraudsters during free AARP Fraud Watch Network “Protect Yourself from Cyber Scams” seminars in Hilo and Kona.
Will Bales, supervising special agent for the FBI-Honolulu’s Cyber Division, will give tips on how to avoid cyber scams and the role the FBI plays in protecting Americans. AARP Hawaii speakers will profile common online scams such as the romance scam, cyber blackmail and scams targeting veterans.
The seminars are free. Attendees don’t have to be AARP members to attend. Registration is requested.
