Former Duke women’s basketball associate head coach Hernando Planells will be a guest instructor at DNA Basketball Summer Camp, Friday through Sunday at Waimea District Park.
For boys and girls ages 9-18, the camp runs 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at fee of $70.

Kohala football golf fundraiser
The second annual Kohala Cowboy Football Golf Tournament will be held July 20 at Makani Golf Club, with a 7 a.m. registration and 8 a.m. shotgun start.
This is a two-man scramble with a fee of $125 a player (make checks payable to Kohala High School).
There will be a closest-to-the-pin jackpot after the round, with lunch, a silent auction and awards to follow.

Boxing card set for June 1
The Hawaii Police Activities League and the Hawaii International Boxing Club will hold a boxing invitational June 1 at the Panaewa Park gymnasium in Hilo
Coaches who are interested in entering athletes who are registered with USA Boxing and are ages 8-17 can contact office Kaeo Drummondo at 961-8121. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and entry is free.

Hilo Armory is accepting registration for the following summer sports camps.
Each has a fee of $60 per session, including activity fees and beach excursions.

When: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays; ages 6-8 session, 8-9:30 a.m.; 9-14 session, 10 a.m.-noon; advanced session, 12:30-3 p.m.
