Police are looking for a 21-year-old Kailua-Kona man they describe as armed and dangerous in connection with an attempted murder investigation.

Jerome Kahoalii-Heath is described as 5-foot-4-inches tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The public is advised against approaching Kahoalii-Heath, who is wanted for questioning in a non-fatal shooting of a 34-year-old woman Friday on Mana Road in South Kohala.

Another Kailua-Kona man, 24-year-old Kainoa Lindo, was taken into custody by police on Friday on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, but was later released without being charged pending further investigation.

Police say anyone who has information on Kahoalii-Heath’s whereabouts is asked to call the police nonemergency number at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
