A “New Variety Introduction & Pest Identification and Management Seminar” will be held 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kea‘au Community Center.
Learn about new varieties and re-introductions of flowers and plants grown in Hawaii that will be available for sale in the near future.
Growers will provide information for attendees to successfully add these plants to their gardens and landscapes to keep them fresh and exciting.
Information offered by personnel from USDA Agricultural Research Service, UH-Manoa CTAHR Cooperative Extension Service, and the Big Island Invasive Species Committee BIISC will help attendees keep their gardens and landscapes free of invasive pests. Learn how to identify, control and eradicate them.
There is no charge to attend, and lunch will be served.
