John Carvalho Jr., 86, of Holualoa died July 10 at home. Born in North Kohala, he was a retired laborer, member of Hawaii Laborers Union Local 681 and U.S. Army veteran. Donovan Goo, 71, of Pahoa died July 23. He was a retired forestry technician of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, Kamehameha Schools alumnus and U.S. Navy veteran. Raymond Isao Yoshino, 89, of Hilo died Aug. 6 at home.
