Sharla Sare of Hilo Toastmasters Club No. 248 was named Outstanding Toastmaster Division Director of the Year.
She accepted the award July 19 in Honolulu.
“Sharla is a dedicated enthusiastic leader who has been an active member of our club,” said Hilo club president Keith Kuramoto. “We are proud of her work as a division director, contributing to the success of other clubs as well.”
Toastmasters International is a worldwide nonprofit educational organization that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. The organization’s membership exceeds 357,000 in more than 16,000 clubs in 143 countries.
Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators and leaders.
