Waiakea High School’s Student Government Association recently hosted its 13th annual Santa’s Workshop.
The purpose of the activity is to give elementary schoolchildren from Waiakeawaena and Waiakea elementary schools the opportunity to purchase small holiday gifts at extremely reasonable prices. Santa’s Workshop allows children to give gifts to their loved ones, encouraging values such as generosity and selflessness.
All monies raised from Santa’s Workshop are donated to a nonprofit organization.
This year’s event raised $2,000, which will be donated to a veteran’s organization.
