No injuries were reported Thursday evening after firefighters extinguished a house fire in Volcano.
According to a Hawaii Fire Department report, a propane fire in a residence on Liona Street was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Seventeen firefighters in four fire engines responded to the scene.
Much of the second floor had caught fire, but firefighters were able to quell the blaze by 8 p.m.
The fire is estimated to have caused $34,800 of damage to the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
