Top Trump adviser steps down ahead of impeachment testimony

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s top adviser for Russian and European affairs is leaving his job at the White House, a day before he’s scheduled to testify before the House impeachment investigators, according to a senior administration official Wednesday.

Leo R. Audette, 63, of Hilo died Oct. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, Mass., he was the owner of the former Audette Air Co. and eventually retired to Hilo.
