Police have identified a body found below the Wainaku Scenic Lookout just north of Hilo Feb. 15 as Megan May Funderburk of Hilo.

The 24-year-old Funderburk, originally from Oregon, had been reported missing as of Feb. 9.

Her body was identified through dental records, which had to be obtained from Oregon, police said.

An autopsy found that Funderburk died as the result of an accidental fall and foul play is not suspected.

Detectives are, however, still investigating police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
