Fix Waianuenue

Everyone driving on Waianuenue Avenue knows the roads are neglected and decaying.

The road is bumpy, cracked and filled with potholes. All of these are just an equation for an accident that could cost the life of a resident of Hawaii.

As someone that is new to driving, I already hate driving on Waianuenue Avenue because it is uncared for and crumbling every day. Us, as a community, must act fast. The road’s instability could cause a tragic accident resulting in an injury or loss of your family members.

There are many important places located on Waianuenue Avenue, such as schools, work facilities and many landmarks. The road is in a dilapidated state, and this not only endangers the driver, but also pedestrians and students that use the road to get to work or school. The potholes could cause a tire to blow out if not avoided, which could lead to the driver and others to be injured.

As a new driver, I find it difficult to drive on Waianuenue Avenue due to the minor bumps that are caused from potholes or cracks. For me and for many future drivers, I feel that the roads should be repaved for the safety of myself and others.

The repaving of the road will help keep many residents safe from a possible accident. Although, it will cost time and money to have this project done. The roads would have to be closed for a lengthy time, and it may be a significant amount of money for materials. But, a life is priceless compared to a road, which can take more than give. The safety of people is worth more than anything.

Cyberbullying problem

Anybody can see that the new technological world is a scary place. As a teenager in this generation, somebody that grew up with technology, I can say that it’s hard to think of what the world was like before the internet.

Social media and pop culture have become such a big part of our lives that it’s hard to think that it can be a bad thing. But, used inappropriately, social media can ruin lives.

In my own life, I’ve seen cyberbullying happen to others many times. In my own life, cyberbullying has happened to me. When I say cyberbullying is life-ruining, I mean it. People talk about you online, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it because the internet is an invisible world. There is no running from it because everyone with a phone knows and sees what happens, and no ones does anything about it. There are people in this world who do things to others and not realize the consequences.

My cyberbullying experience had a huge impact on my life, and it has made me a better person. Since then, I’ve had closure, but others aren’t so lucky. Some people develop major mental problems, and it can often lead to suicide and depression. Cyberbullying is not something people should take lightly.

This is important because it’s a danger to young people. This is an active problem in communities around the world. People need to understand that words hurt. Whether it’s in person or online, everything has consequences. If we don’t do something now, we’re neglecting everyone who may need help online.

It’s scary because bullying over social media doesn’t seem real since it’s not face to face, which some people may not be able to understand. That’s why we should raise awareness and make victims of bullying feel safe to come to us with their issues. If we teach others about the dangers of social media, our world can have a better understanding.
