The semifinal matchups are set Saturday in the girls 18 division at the Moku O Keawe Jr Volleyball Regionals.
At 4:30 p.m. at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, the Piopio Bears (2-0) will take on Panaewa (0-2) on one court, with HI Intensity (2-0) and Haili (0-2) meeting on the other. Piopio and HI Intensity split a pool play match 25-21, 21-25 and are each 5-1 in set play.
The semifinal winners are scheduled to meet at 5:40 p.m. with a spot at the USA Volleyball junior national championships on the line.
In girls 16s, the final is set between Kamehameha and Eleu at 3:20 p.m Saturday.
The Moku O Keawe regionals continue at 4 p.m. Thursday with pool play at Hilo Civic (12s), UH-Hilo gym (14s) and Kawananakoa (10s). On Friday at 4 p.m., gold bracket 14s matches art at Hilo Civic, with silver play at at UHH.
The championships in five age groups are Saturday at Hilo Civic, with silver bracket action beginning at 9 a.m.
