In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii regrets to inform the public that the Kiwanis Miso Soup Breakfast scheduled for Saturday, March 21, is canceled.
In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii regrets to inform the public that the Kiwanis Miso Soup Breakfast scheduled for Saturday, March 21, is canceled.
The club has been closely monitoring the situation, and deeply regrets having to make this difficult decision. Its members, along with much of the public, looked forward to the return of this event, but the club remains focused on the health and well-being of the community and thinks canceling this event is necessary at this time.
The club offers its sincerest mahalo to supporters, and would like to offer refunds for tickets purchased.
Anyone who purchased tickets and would like a refund needs to complete a refund request form and return it with their tickets to: Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii, Attn: Miso Soup Breakfast, PO Box 44, Hilo, HI 96721
Refund requests must be postmarked by Saturday, April 11.
People who purchased tickets can download the refund request form at www.kiwaniseasthawaii.org. They also can contact any Kiwanian or members from the sponsored leadership programs including Hilo and Waiakea High School Key Club, Waiakea Intermediate Builders, EB deSilva and Waiakea Elementary K-Kids, Circle K at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Easter Seals Hawaii Aktion Club.
