The University of Hawaii announced today that all 10 of its campuses across the state are closed to everyone except current students and employees, effective immediately, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The University of Hawaii announced today that all 10 of its campuses across the state are closed to everyone except current students and employees, effective immediately, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The closure of public-facing facilities and establishment of a process for employees to work remotely from home are in effect,” read a statement from UH. “Employees who are working on campus and students who come to campus or reside in student housing are instructed to practice social distancing.”
The university had previously announced on Wednesday that it would transition to online-only courses for the remainder of the spring semester. Those courses remain in effect.
The 10 UH campuses are UH Manoa, UH Hilo, UH West Oahu, UH Maui College, Leeward Community College, Kapiolani CC, Honolulu CC, Windward CC, Kauai CC and Hawaii CC.
