Yvonne Gay Dupree, 83, of Hilo died Feb. 24 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in California, she was a retired adult corrections officer at Kulani Correctional Facility, ceramicist, ballerina, dancer, planter and cook. Celebration of life sunrise to sunset Saturday (March 28) at 18-2049 Pomaikai St. in Glenwood. Aloha attire. Lynda Faye Goin, 74, of Kailu- Kona died March 4 at home. Born in California, she was an office clerk for Tuttle Financial Services and member of Calvary Community Church in Kona, where she served as a Sunday service greeter and outreach program participant, and volunteer cook and server of meals for the homeless at Solid Rock Ministries and The Friendly Place in Kailua-Kona. Services at a later date. Survived by nephews, Shane Cunningham of Orange, Calif., Cody Coughenour of Port Angeles, Wash., and Chad Cunningham of Kailua-Kona. Edward Joseph Grohs, 71, of Pahala died March 6 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., he was a retired supervisor for the former Ka‘u Agribusiness, member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Private services at a later date. John Fasifilifili Paopao, M.D., 74, of Hilo, died March 10 at The Queens Medical Center on Oahu. Born on Ofu, American Samoa, he was a plastic surgeon. Private services held.
