The county announced Wednesday that traffic on Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea will be reduced to one alternating lane of travel between Iokua Place and Puu Nani starting at 6 p.m. today through 8 p.m. April 5.
The county announced Wednesday that traffic on Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea will be reduced to one alternating lane of travel between Iokua Place and Puu Nani starting at 6 p.m. today through 8 p.m. April 5.
The one lane of alternating travel will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, to reconstructing the intersection of Puu Nani Drive and Mamalahoa Highway.
Residents of Puu Nani Drive will have access throughout construction and are advised to allow for additional travel time in commutes and prepared to traverse over gravel roadways. Other motorists will temporarily have no access to Puu Nani Drive and Iokua Place until April 5.
All motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians using Mamalahoa Highway from Iokua Place to Puu Nani Drive should plan for and expect delays during the alternating lane travel.
