The state Department of Health reports 11 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus today, bringing the statewide total of cases to 541.
The City and County of Honolulu has the largest number of cases, 373, followed by Maui County at 95, Hawaii County at 41 and Kauai County at 21.
Five cases are pending identification of county, DOH said.
There have, so far, been nine COVID-19 related deaths in Hawaii, all on Oahu or Maui. Forty-five cases have required hospitalization.
DOH reports 374 people diagnosed with the virus have been released from isolation.
Six of the cases are Hawaii residents who were diagnosed outside the state, but Centers for Disease Control reporting guidelines require those to be counted as Hawaii cases.
The Hawaii County total remains the same for the second straight day, and also is one case more than reported earlier this morning by Hawaii County Civil Defense, for the second straight day.
Civil Defense reports that 29 of those diagnosed with the virus have recovered and the remaining cases are isolated at home and being monitored by DOH.
