Doris “Nikki” Ho, 75, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died Nov. 17. Born in Hilo, she was a retired clerk for the Honolulu City Council and 1961 Hilo High School alumna. Survived by daughters, Richelle (Marwin) Sabado of Vancouver, Wash., Dawn (Timothy) Shiinoki-Ho of Kaneohe, Oahu, and Darcie (Aryn) Nakaoka of Honolulu; siblings, Ellen (David) Nakamura and Ronald Nakahara of Hilo; six grandchildren.
Michie “Grandma Alice” Nishimoto, 97, of Hilo died April 30. Born in Papaikou, she was retired from Hilo Medical Center, was a volunteer foster grandparent at Waiakea Elementary School and member of Pomaikai Senior Center and Hakalau Jodo Mission/Fujinkai.
