One new case of COVID-19, on the Big Island, was reported today by the state Department of Health, bringing the statewide total to 641 cases.
The City and County of Honolulu, the most populous county in the state, has the highest case count, 414.
Hawaii County now has 78 cases, with 76 released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
Both Maui and Kauai counties also report new cases, and their case totals remain 117 and 21, respectively. Kauai has reported no new cases for 37 days.
Hawaii’s statewide case total includes 10 residents diagnosed outside the state.
The statewide death toll from coronavirus-related illness remains at 17, with 11 on Oahu and six on Maui. That’s a 2.7% fatality rate for the state.
Cases statewide that required hospitalization number 82, or 12.8% of total cases.
There have been 578 cases, or 90.2%, that have been released from isolation, according to DOH.
