Born in Kealakekua, he was a heavy equipment operator for Hawaiian Dredging, Isemoto Construction, West Hawaii Excavation and Goodfellow Brothers, supervisor for Aloha Contract Services, woodworker and artist. Yukiko Yamashita Uchida, 90, of Keaau died May 8 at home. Born in Olaa, she was retired from First Hawaiian Bank and a member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association and Keaau Village Association. Private services held. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired driver for Yamamoto Trucking Co., a former driver for Nordic Trucking in Honolulu, owner-operator of the former Aloha Shave Ice in Nanakuli, Oahu and U.S. Army veteran.
