DOH reports 25 new COVID-19 cases today; 21 on Oahu, 4 on Maui

The state Department of Health reports 25 new cases of COVID-19 statewide as of noon today. That brings the statewide total of cases to 1,418.

Of the new cases, 21 are on Oahu and four are in Maui County.

The total case number in the City and County of Honolulu has 1,100 cases, as cases that had been pending county of origin have also been found to be Oahu cases.

Maui County has the second-highest case total, with 139 cases.

Hawaii County now has 114 reported cases, with seven active cases and one active case requiring hospitalization.

Kauai County’s case total remains at 43.

Twenty-two cases, overall, have been of Hawaii residents diagnosed while out of state.

So far, 151 of Hawaii’s cases have required hospitalization, and there have been 24 deaths statewide.

A total of 1,084 individuals have been released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
