Alaric Paul Benevides, 70, of Hilo died June 1 at Centerville Specialty Care in Centerville, Iowa. He was retired from Hy-Vee Iowa, a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran and enjoyed motorcycling and camping. Private family services. Santiago Cordero, 91, of Hilo died July 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired diesel mechanic for HT&T and other diesel shops, member of numerous Big Three unions and a pastor of The Gospel of Alpha and Omega Church in Hilo. Randolph “Randy” Kahuwila Ioane, 65, of Hilo died July 11 at Hilo Medical Center.
