Two celebrities with homes on the Big Island have put their properties up for sale.
Former National Football League star and TV sports analyst Terry Bradshaw is selling his partially furnished Wai‘ula‘ula condominium for $1.3 million, according to Venture Sotheby’s International Realty.
Bradshaw, 71, who earned four Super Bowl titles with the Pittsburgh Steelers, purchased the property, which is located at the Mauna Kea Resort, in August 2016.
According to Sotheby’s, Bradshaw visited the island to relax and enjoy quality family time with his daughter and grandchildren who currently reside here.
“The Bradshaws are avid golfers, so it’s no surprise that they chose to own a property that’s situated along the 11th fairway of the Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed Hapuna Golf Course,” Sotheby’s said in a news release.
Entertainer and Las Vegas icon Wayne Newton also is selling his 230-acre property located between Laupahoehoe and Ninole on the Hamakua Coast.
The 78-year-old Newton and his wife, Kathleen, have owned the property for 20 years, according to Sotheby’s.
It is being listed for $1.2 million.
“Wayne and Kathleen shared that Hawaii has always been one of their favorite places along with its incredible people,” Sotheby’s said in a news release. “When they got married they wanted their second home to be on the Big Island and immediately fell in love with the property the moment they saw it.
“The couple would take their friends and family there and enjoyed hiking, swimming in the waterfalls, and discovering all the different species of trees, flowers, and fruit, along with its rich history.”
