The Department of Health said that, as of noon today, there are 89 new cases of COVID-19 reported statewide and one new coronavirus-related deaths was reported.
That brings the statewide total of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began to 13,853.
The official statewide death toll is 185, according to DOH.
Of the new cases, 68 were in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing Oahu’s case total to 12,317.
Hawaii County reports 21 new cases, bringing the Big Island’s total case number to 1,026. As a result of updated information, one case previously attributed to Oahu has been moved to the Big Island count.
Eleven Hawaii Islanders are hospitalized with coronavirus-related illness, as of today, according to Hawaii County Civil Defense.
No new cases were reported in Maui or Kauai counties, with their case totals remaining at 411 and 59, respectively.
There have been 40 cases of Hawaii residents reportedly diagnosed with COVID-19 while out of state.
Statewide, 988 cases have required hospitalization, and 10,947 individuals have been released from isolation as “recovered.”
Free drive-up coronavirus testing will be offered between 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Kahuku Park in Ocean View, Ka‘u.
Those who have health insurance are asked to bring their insurance cards to the testing sites. There will be no co-pay required for those being tested.
