Robert “Bob” C. Measel Jr., 75, of Hilo died Oct. 25 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Danville, Ky., he was a surfboard builder, car salesmen, realtor, founding partner of Measel Associates, CEO and president of ‘E Pili Kaua Ventures Inc., entrepreneur with Diamond Cross Ministries, hotel developer with Royal Development Corp., member of the Waikiki Yacht Club and U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a retired mechanical engineer for Heyl & Patterson, tutor at Kaumana and Kamehameha elementary schools and member of Alu Like Inc.-Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna Program and RSVP of Hilo.
