Mabel Catherine Pacheco, 90, of Hilo died Nov. 12 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a physical education teacher, front office secretary, security supervisor and custodial supervisor at St. Joseph Schools and the first woman inducted into the Big Island Sports Hall of Fame. The late Fernando Pueblas Ducosin is survived by, among others, his wife, Caroline Obra Ducosin of Waipahu. Her name was incorrect in an obituary published Nov. 27. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
