Born in Hilo, he was a photographer, artist, former owner of McKinley Photo in Honolulu, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Upper Kaumana Kumiai and Hilo Senior Net, and U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.
