Born in Dingas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired plant propagator for the Bureau of Plant Industry in the Philippines, worked for Aloha Welding Shop, McConnell Orchid Nursery and Pacific Floral Resources and was a bible student of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
