According to Hawaii County Civil Defense, one individual is hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported on Hawaii Island in 10 weeks.
Fewer than 10 cases have been reported in Hilo during the past 14 days, while 16 cases have been reported in North Kona during that same time frame, according to the state Department of Health.
According to data from the department, Hawaii County has a 1% test positivity rate, which is just below the 1.1% statewide positivity rate and slightly higher than the City and County of Honolulu’s 0.9% positivity rate.
As of Monday, 406,857 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine had been administered statewide, up 15,741 from Friday’s total.
The state has ordered 570,360 doses and so far received 502,930.
On the Big Island, 47,428 vaccine doses have been administered, according to the DOH.
At least 15.6% of the Big Island’s approximate 201,500 residents have received one vaccine dose, while 8% have completed two doses.
The DOH on Monday reported 45 new cases statewide.
