Hawaii County Civil Defense today reported 15 new COVID-19 cases on the Big Island.
According to Civil Defense, two people are hospitalized and no deaths have been reported in the last 10 weeks.
The state Department of Health on Thursday reported eight new cases.
According to data from the DOH, Hawaii County on Thursday had a 1.4% test positivity rate, higher than the statewide positivity rate of 1.2%.
As of Thursday, fewer than 10 cases had been reported in Hilo in the prior 14 days, while 25 cases were reported in Kailua-Kona during the same time period.
Mandates requiring face coverings, distancing of at least six feet and limiting gatherings sizes to no more than 10 people inside and 25 people outside remain in place for Hawaii Island.
