The Army said in a Friday statement training exercises will increase gradually at Pohakuloa Training Area and will involve the Army and Marine Corps with almost 1,000 troops on the ground by the end of the month.

Training will involve helicopters, MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, small arms, artillery, mortars and unmanned aerial systems or drones.

Training will also include troops conducting ground maneuvers in the Keamuku Maneuver Area, north of Highway 200 and south of Old Saddle Road, between today and Monday.

There are currently no convoys planned for the month of April; however, as notices become available, the Army will release more information to the community.
