Born in Ka‘u, he was a retired boilermaker supervisor for Hawaiian Independent Refinery, worked for the former Terminal Steel, was a U.S. Army veteran and member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers Union Local 204 and past president and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission. Public visitation 1-2 p.m. Saturday (May 22) at Puna Hongwanji Mission in Keaau. Military honors at 2 p.m. Private memorial service to follow. Casual attire. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts).
