Beginning July 8, fully vaccinated domestic travelers coming to Hawaii will be able to bypass quarantine and pre-travel testing requirements, Gov. David Ige announced today.
In a noon news conference, Ige said Hawaii is expected to reach a 60% vaccination rate statewide by July 8.
According to the governor, travelers must be able to upload vaccination records into the state’s Safe Travels program and bring a hard copy of their vaccination record with them.
Those traveling to Hawaii prior to July 8 are subject to current pre-travel testing and quarantine requirements.
Additionally on July 8, Ige said permitted gathering sizes also will increase from 10 to 25 indoors and from 25 to 75 outdoors.
Restaurants also will be able to seat up to 75% capacity, with maximum size of of 25 indoors and 75 outdoors.
