Police have charged a 51-year-old Keaau man with numerous offenses following a reported domestic dispute Saturday at an Oio Street home in Pahoa.

A 37-year-old woman told officers she was threatened, but not injured by the suspect, Raphael Solis, who was arrested the following day at a residence on Paradise Drive in Keaau.

Solis has been charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening, fourth-degree property damage, illegally carrying a handgun, carrying a loaded firearm on a public roadway, and having an unregistered firearm without filing a permit to acquire a firearm.

In Hilo District Court on Tuesday, Judge Jeffrey Hawk denied Solis’ request to be freed on court-supervised release, maintained his $73,000 bail and ordered him to return to court today for a preliminary hearing.

Solis remained in custody Wednesday at Hawaii Community Correctional Center.
