The Hawaii County Community Policing Department hosted a fishing tournament for keiki and their familes at Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park on Saturday morning.
The Hawaii County Community Policing Department hosted a fishing tournament for keiki and their familes at Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park on Saturday morning.
Keiki tried to catch the most fish to win prizes like new tackle boxes, fishing poles and water bottles.
All participating keiki were gifted a backpack full of school supplies and could win more gifts through a raffle at the end of the tournament.
Officers with Community Policing and officers with the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources also served free lunch and shaved ice to families at the park.
